A group of student and teacher from Christian Community School of Coff Harbour Australia, just finished their mission trip to Bali last October. The Widhya Asih Bali children home in Melaya and Blimbingsari as the host, became the site of some projects they accomplished this year. This annual mission trip brought adult student of senior high school and three of their teacher, lead to share love with children in Melaya and Blimbingsari children home.
As we know, the aims of the project is to challenge and equip our year 10 and 11 students for Christian service. The trip presents students with an opportunity to experience the culture of our closest neighbor, Indonesia, while supporting the Bali Protestant Church in their care and education of poor and vulnerable children.
Two kinds of project have done which was wall in Melaya and basketball court re-painting in Blimbingsari. During the project, the students stay inside the children home in Melaya, so the could experienced how the Widhya Asih children daily life’s look like.
This mission trip itself, was started in 1999 and it was during this trip that our connection to the Blimbingsari orphanage and the indigenous Bali Protestant Church began. Widhya Asih Bali and Christian Community School (CCS) have maintained and built upon these friendships over the last 17 years doing many projects to improve the quality of children’s lives at Blimbingsari, Melaya and Singaraja orphanages.
